Improving Personal Stability

through Advocacy, Support and Skills Training

Mental Health Skill Building:

Mental Health Skill-Building Service (MHSS) addresses the needs of individuals who are experiencing difficulty functioning in their daily lives. Our qualified Mental Health Professionals provide rehabilitative services that seek to increase an individual’s overall stability in the least restrictive and appropriate environment.

The Mental Health Skill-Building Program provides individualized counseling and life skills training to adults 18 or older who, due to mental illness, would otherwise have trouble maintaining community stability and independence.

Some major areas of focus include daily living skills training, accessing community resources,

health and safety, financial managment and social supports. Mental Health Skill-Building services are individualized, client centered and facilitated in the clients home and their community.
